Terms of Use
Short, because
there is little to agree to.
There is no account to open and no service of ours to sign up for. Orate is an app you install; these terms cover using it, and what happens if you subscribe. Together with the privacy page they are the whole agreement between you and us.

The short version
Yours stays yours, and the store handles the money.
Your writing and your video are yours
We claim no ownership of, and no licence to, anything you write or record in Orate. We could not use it if we wanted to: it never leaves your device, which the privacy page explains in detail.
You may use the app on the devices you own
Using Orate gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to run it on devices you own or control, for as long as these terms are kept. The app itself — its code, its name and its design — stays ours.
Subscriptions are the store's
Orate Pro is bought, renewed, refunded and cancelled through Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see a card number and we cannot charge or refund you ourselves.
The app is provided as it is
It is a tool for recording video, not a backup service. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot lose.
Subscriptions
What you are agreeing to when you upgrade.
Billing and renewal
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. The price, the period and any free trial are shown on the upgrade screen before you buy, in your own currency, as the store reports them.
Free trials
Where a trial is offered, it becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel at least a day beforehand. Trial eligibility is decided by the store, not by us — one trial per Apple ID or Google account, across all Orate plans.
Cancelling
Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not end the period you have already paid for, and Pro features keep working until that period runs out.
Refunds and price changes
Refunds are handled entirely by the store you bought from, under its own policy. If a price changes, the store asks you to confirm before it charges the new one.
What Pro unlocks
The features listed on the upgrade screen at the time you subscribe. Anything already free — recording, exporting without a watermark, the prompter itself — stays free.
One entitlement
Pro is a single entitlement, not a bundle of separately sold features, and it is tied to the store account that bought it. Restoring a purchase on a new device signs it back in through the store.
Using it
The short list of what you may not do.
Record lawfully
You are responsible for what you record and for having the right to record it. Consent rules for filming people differ by country and by state; Orate does not know where you are or who is in frame.
Do not take the app apart to rebuild it
No reverse engineering, decompiling or extracting the source, except where your local law says you may despite a term like this one. No reselling, renting or redistributing the app.
Do not work around the paywall
Circumventing the entitlement check, or using a modified build to get Pro without paying, ends the licence above.
Age
Orate is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children. If you are under the age at which you can agree to terms where you live, an adult has to agree to these for you.
Limits
Warranty, liability, and ending it.
No warranty beyond what the law gives you
Orate is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a recording will always succeed — a device can run out of storage, overheat or be interrupted by a call. Nothing here removes rights your consumer law gives you and cannot be waived.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost recordings, lost work or lost earnings arising from using the app, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for Orate in the twelve months before the claim. Again, where your consumer law says otherwise, your law wins.
Ending the agreement
You end it by deleting the app. We may end it if these terms are broken — in practice, the licence ends and the app stops being licensed to you; your files on the device are unaffected and remain yours.
Changes to these terms
If they change, this page changes and the date at the top moves, in the same release as the behaviour it describes. Continuing to use the app after that is how the new terms are accepted. A change that reduces your rights materially will not apply retroactively to a subscription period you have already paid for.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without displacing the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.

This agreement is with us, not Apple
These terms are between you and Planify alone. Apple is not a party to them and is not responsible for Orate or its contents.
Scope of the licence
The licence granted above is limited to a non-transferable licence to use Orate on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
Maintenance and support
We are solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for Orate. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services.
Warranty
We are solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If Orate fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for it; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to Orate.
Product claims
We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to Orate or your possession and use of it — including product liability claims, any claim that it fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
Intellectual property
If a third party claims that Orate or your possession and use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
Legal compliance
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Third-party terms
You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using Orate.
Third-party beneficiary
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and upon your acceptance of them Apple will have the right — and is deemed to have accepted the right — to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
